Yes the holes. I am grafting a firewall from an FB donor and the holes and clips appear different. Will probably weld up and redrill if I go with the factory style panel.

if the original ones are still in the firewall and haven't been welded up (in the donor) then it should line up.. the clips are just push through style... not the best but they work. Best would be to grab one (if you are going to do it) and check it all before you start patching.
i was lucky that whoever had attempted to weld mine up, hadn't got any penetration on the welds and you could pretty much just push your finger through, so just lightly drilled them out, cut some extra spaces for things going through the firewall, pretty simple in the end.

indeed mate... to me it actually came from looking at old chev's they have a more 'script' type badge that i feel lends itself to the curves a bit better... so i figured i would give it a shot and piss some people off

I think I have a spare speaker grill if you want it.
I'll pay you a visit soon - I am very keen to see this beast. Last time I saw it was when I bought the HG!

Thanks Tim

I'd say that is early alright. The light door switch holes are large diameter to take older style switches. Not sure if this is common to all FBs. The clips for insulation are metal. Don't seem to be any other differences.

Holes are different in early FBs as they have an FC firewall.....

yeah each time i get to work on it and see stuff going on that hopefully isn't coming off its a good day.. its just parts that are holding me up every once in a while (like these damn head lining bows)
hopefully have the engine and box in in the next few weeks and should be able to start running wiring soon.
Cheers

Nah it looks awesome mate, and looks like you're making good progress!
I'm moving back south, so get it together so we can cruise this spring

Yeah no switches fitted. Just the holes. Now my "EK" van will be a real bitsa...... FC firewall etc. I noticed the heater hole is in a different spot and the regulator mount surface has raised flutes. Implications for fitting the warmaride and repro factory firewall insulation. Could also be an issue if I fit triples. Another thing to rejig. Oh dear.
Apologies for the hijack nomad.
