Looks good Roger, low is good but too low is a pain unless the car has been modified to still have some suspension travel. I lifted the ute up an inch after a trip across the paddock with it bottoming out on bumps in the road

Its gunna come down at least another inch I reckon.
Its ok though you have the luxury of lowering blocks that can be thinner to adjust the final height.

Today the ute has done off to be painted. I was going to do this is the shed but common sense prevailed.
This way it will be done right the first time without a shed full of over spray to clean up.

The painter is ex west ozzie boy who grew up in Mandurah in the 70's.
Drag raced back in the day at Pinjarra, hung out Bernies and cruised the streets of Perth on Friday night.
OMG, what a small world we live in.
Cheers,
Roger

Wayne, the painter told me 6 to 8 weeks and it will be finished.
Every time I walk into the shed and see the empty space there, it is strange after 10 years of the ute taking up residence.
Is it time to roll in the sedan ?

Great hear you are nearing the end mate, you may as well fill the hole in the workshop with the sedan mate

when I was almost finished on Frank I couldn’t imagine not having something underway hence “The Reverend” as Blacky nicknamed the wagon then again maybe we are just mad.
Can’t wait to see it in paint Rog.

Popped in side this morning to grab a coffee and the wagon saw the ute was gone so it jumped inside.

As i had the HR disc's set up for the ute, I dropped the drums and fitted the disc's.

A couple of brake lines, bleed off and off I will go.

No mucking around. Don't forget to remove the residual check valve from the master, blah blah....

Took Clay's advise and removed the valve from the master cylinder on the Crusty wagon.
Bled the front breaks again but the pedal leaks down when you keep pushing on it, so something not right.
I had to keep filling around half the master cylinder each wheel. Asked myself " where the hell is the fluid going ".
Pulled the VH40 booster out and it was heaps heavier than what I bolted in.
BINGO - bloody brake fluid leaking into the diaphragm so I dropped it off a Power Brakes here in Adelaide.
Should be back in a week or 2
Cheers,
Roger

Don’t forget to chuck a pair of compatible wheel cylinders on the back captain half arse.

Spend some coin at Rare Spares yesterday
New windscreen rubber and rear window rubbers.

Also purchased the bonnet insert
As only the best for Ammo, I got a heap of Dynamat so it will as quiet as her Lexus.
Cheers,
Roger

Good job Roger it must be a great feeling seeing the project go off to the paint shop. The wagon does a good job of filling that hole in that garage, looks even better with the pair of single fin mals

Did you happen to know Waynes surname? I grew up in the same area around the same time but if he was racing at the Ravo drags in the 70's I might have still been racing tricycles...
cheers,
Melly
