Clay
I thought you had a broom stick for cruise control going to the 2021 Nats? Are you planning to drive to W.A both ways or just one?

Interesting Clay,

Is the transport out of WA cost effective ?

I am considereing all types of scenarios one being trailer to SA then drive then transport back to SA.

Got to look at all options, especially from Sydney.

I paid just under $600 for Perth- Adelaide vehicle transport with CEVA this year Greg. One problem may be the 7-10 day transit time ??

We have a cheaper deal for bulk rate Perth Adelaide. Pretty sure we can fit you in but you have to commit. Sure would be fun having you along Greg. Can store your rig at my place.

Hi Clay,

I'd be interested in vehicle transport too.

Sent you a message Greg.

Mock installed the triples. I had to trim the firewall lip and remove the rear linkage rod to get them on. ImageImage
It is apparent that I will need to recess the firewall by 15mm, mainly to gain clearence for the rear filter, but will also help with clearence to rear linkage and choke mechanism. Image
Also need to modify the heater tap riser to stand it up straight out of the way of the rear pedestal.Image
But hey, they fit!

Pedal feels good. Choke requires about 75 Newtons. Need to work on that.Image
Almost fit the battery back in there now.....

SSSucking sounds to come. Hope they work as good as they look. Seeing as I’m ruining a classic, or did I already do that?

Damn - close but no cigar Clay!
The 3 into 1 for the choke is the same set up on mine. Felt like you were pulling the whole carb assembly through the through the dash. Probably the least elegant part of the SU set up with that lot flopping around on top of the engine.

Thanks Scott. Main problem I am experiencing is the original FB choke wire, being narrower, tends to pull free of the screw block. A full length centre cable would solve this. Also thinking of adding a t-bar behind the knob or similar, but don't want to spoil the factory appearance.

15mm extra space shouldn't be too had to gain, but will mean relocating the body plate.

Clay, do you really need chokes on them ?? Would be tempted to leave them until it is all running and see if they are really required ????

SUs don't have any accelerator pump Blacky. No way to enrich other than pull down the jets which is what the "chokes" do. They say that if they start cold without choke they are set too rich. But I will operate them via engine bay to get things running.
