Got a bit done today- went to fit the fan belt and realised the alternator was misaligned by 4mm so had to modify the alternator bracket , that burnt up a few hours ….
Ended up getting the front of the motor all together , ready to drop the blower on when I find the gasket

Got the steering and pedals in which is a bit of a milestone, lots of buggerising around to get it all to work - can now finish plumbing up brakes and clutch lines plus run fuel line.
Also spent a couple of hours scraping old window tint off the Commode ute to get it ready for licensing - what a prick of a job

Put a hose in a old kettle secured with a bit of ductape and a brick on the switch and steam the tint off. Nice and dodgy so caution easy to be burnt. Good for getting the tint off though.
Steering set up looks really good mate.

Had a productive day today, then knocked off early and had a bloody good Thai feed
Work on the engine had to stop on Friday arvo due to not having a base gasket for the blower, so we got into the front end and sorted out all the dramas today
Me old mate Brodie came up today to give his opinion on things and he bought some bits with him that he thought might come in handy, namely a sway bar and some fancy sway bar links so we got stuck in and made it fit.
Such a beautiful man

Step 3 , make sure it’s all gonna fit nice and work proper and stuff ….
D
Don’t forget to glue a nut in for the bolt to screw into
Tomorrow is weld them in , then start on the sway bar link brackets and steering stops , need to relocate the brake line mounting brackets as well to match the calipers we are now using. Made some good progress today

Yeah , blower drive is close to outrigger on front crossmember - too close to fit a sway bar in between, plus it needed to move forward a bit to clear tie rods on steering rack. Mounted bar upside down and forward - just about to head up to the shed to clean the mounts up and weld them in then start on the links and steering stops.
