What does worry me though is the heavy steel rotor trying to tear the manifold off the engine. I need to fit some form of brace under the casing, back down to the chassis to provide vertical support. In true bogan style, the supercharger is currently supported on two Sampson rims and a block of timber
Braces made

The epoxy floor in the new shed finishes curing Sunday. Hoist goes in Monday, and FED comes home from Kennards.

Manic few days.
Shed plumbing/drainage done, concrete still wet and had to board it over to get the FED in. Hoist guys hiab broke down, they were a day late and had to work on top of the plumbers… including the 8” moat they dug.
The VL tow car crapped out yesterday for reasons unknown. Still haven’t replaced the towbar on the wagon, so borrowed Number 2 daughter’s i30 to tow the FED home from Kennards. Shunted the trailer through the adjacent storage unit rollerdoor when it got away from me… lucky to not have shunted me with the door. Expecting a bill from Kennards to put the door back on its tracks. Hit school time on the way home, a lot of stares with the poor Hyundai dragging the trailer. Plumbers didn’t move their ute so blocked traffic to unhitch the trailer. Lots of school mums with no patience and loud horns.
Council decided to do roadworks this week, so no cars on the street from today. Front lawn looks like a dealership. Have to keep a clear driveway for the builders to do pavers (perhaps), so FED in, wagon under it, box trailer jammed in too.
Roller door shut two minutes before the Uber arrived to go to work. Off now to pay for these shannanighans.

A shed is a bit of a balance. No desire to move, so had to make it fit the block. Still like the idea of some backyard, so only went 1.5 cars wide. I need to get more serious about the amount of stuff I have that I know I will never use. Some time in the new year I need to get rid of a bunch of FB/EK trim, Grace's ute, some grey blocks, probably the spare 327 motor and box, a small mountain of red/blue/black motor Strombergs, a red motor Scorcher ignition, the triple Amal setup, the twin Howarth injection etc. Should get me down to the wagon to run around in, the FED to race occasionally, and the FB sedan meth monster project to get engineered and registered.
Cheers,
Harv

I’m going through the process of moving at the moment Harv, I’ve been here 20 years so plenty to get through.
The skip bin is getting pretty full

had to be really ruthless
