i think it's a long term thing if you leave it in primer for a long time it's a problem, every paint shop i've seen wet rubbs, only time i've seen dry is rubbing nikky, there's even nikkys now that can be wet rubbed

had this disscussion with a painter and paint supplier not long ago and they said this is false
this could end up like nearly all forum topics, too much different information/opinions

Would love to start seeing the actual colours, but I know I need to be patient and wait.
A few more hours of sanding today.
Just of the dash, interior and body frame.
Still need to do another primer coat and guide coat before I'm finished.
Got very frustrated when I think about all the rest still to be done.
Tailgate, Doors, Guards, bonnet, grill, etc.
Some with rust still to be cut out and fixed.
Put some chrome bits on to check the colour separation areas, and it also helped me to focus and get started again.
Not a lot of change, but several hours of labour.
Yes I can be a bit slow sometimes.
Have ordered the final paint colours, which should arrive by the middle of the week.

take it slow, you'll kick youresf everytime you look at the car if you rush something and it doesn't turn out as good as you'd like it to.
the colour combo of the white and hi fill looks good in my opinion, don't know why but i like the colour of hi fill.
its good for me that your one step ahead of mine, so i can ask lots of questions while its still fresh in your mind from just doing it to yours. keep it up, it'll get there
luke.

Sure is. And if things start going wrong, walk away for an hour. If they still insist on fighting you, do something else! It stops you from screwing things up out of frustration...

Can't see or feel any issue with the tops or headlight peaks, apart from some light surface rust.
The bottom of one guards has already been replaced with a welded panel, and a few other patches welded in.
Some I'll need to cut out again as they are rusted again.
It looks like the insides weren't treated / painted when done last time.
First I'll cut them out, then hammer and dolly to get the panels back into the right shape.

After 2 and a half months since my last work on the wagon, still nothing more done.
Paint has all arrived, and has been sitting in the garage for some time.
Hoping to get the final sand done before Christmas, but it's comign very quick.
My current delay is an uncertainty as to the body trim, as it will affect how I paint and what holes I fill.
Use the EK side moulding and add an extra moulding to make my unique effect that I originally planned. (Lots of work needed.)
Or fit the FB Trim and make it a lot simplier and quicker.

Metallic/Pearl Red (maroon) and Silver.
I prefer the standard FB flash to the EK, but I also wanted my own.
