I get the look that thommo is going for, its like a 70's almost cartoon car style. Definately unique and a head turner. But wow slammed on its guts that thing looks ridiculously tough. Not sure if you could get it that low though without bags?

There is progress, but it doesn't look any different.
The last pics posted were a mock up of how its going to look.
well, there's a lot of work to be done to these parts to get it finished properly.
Lots of welding, fabricating panels to join the rear guards to the underside of the van to stop
mud/dirt accumulating and causing rust later, hammer & dolly work,
Shrinking of the windowless panel side area to get it nice and flat, etc

I have the wheels Mephious, the chromies fitted.
I have two rear sets, 14x6 & 14x8 with skinny fronts

The diff is narrowed on the van the same as my sedan, so I have over 4
combinations of wheels to share between the two cars.

Thanks for the lead on the weld wheels, but I'm keeping the van to a Pre 1975 theme

More pics to come when it looks different to what it is now

Cheers
Jeff

Gday folks

We are still plugging away with panel work.
Progress has been slow, I know, we have missed a lot of weeks
for various reasons beyond our control.

The main body is all finished, all the welding that is,
We worked on the second front gaurd tonight, one is done.
Besides the usual rust repairs, we had to convert an EK gaurd to a FB gaurd.

Had to search to find this thread, it had dropped back to page 3

Anyway, here's a pic of the gaurd conversion.

Hi Jeff,

Good to see you and Len are still chipping away at it. I know what you mean about missing weeks..

Great job Jeff, coming along nicely. There's a sh!t load of work there and it's good to see someone who knows what they're doing.
Hope to see it on the road "soon".
