Been a while but managed to get back to sorting a few issues with the FB. Finally sorted out my throttle linkage set up as it was very aggressive and didn't get full throttle. I've still retained the original throttle bar but now run a cable from that to the carby/s via two small pulleys that I knocked up out of aluminium stock. Also changed the carby throttle linkage to a progressive cam type that works with the cable. Very pleased now. The car is so much better to drive around in traffic and stop start work.

Just the EK hack ute. Need to keep on with putting some miles up on her before Perth. Still got a lot of other stuff to sort on the FB that I'm not happy with and I really want to get the new trim done at some stage. A two other projects have slowed me up a bit.

Another pleasing day today. Dragged the boat to Heyfield with the FB for a display at the Vintage Machinery Rally. Car was pretty boggy off the mark until you got some revs into it. Ended up fitting the heaviest piston spring (green) and an extra spring out of a ball bearing chamber SU into each carby. Very very happy now, pulls clean and still revs hard. Just some finite work with the ignition and carby needles and the engines done......finally.

A run in the wet for the Holden farewell cruise. A great day but bloody awful weather.

Slowly getting back into changing a few things...……………….these cars are neve done!
Swapped down to twin 1 1/2 Su's and did some rework to the throttle as I wasn't getting full throttle and it was touchy to operate at slow speed. It still uses all the standard throttle set up but now runs cable and rollers to a cam lever on the throttle spindle.
The carbies were later HIF Su's with emission set ups and the vacuum take off for the distributor advance is not in the correct spot for proper ported vacuum so that had to be redone. Removed all the carbon canister tubing, plugged and drilled out other ports, and bashed out another set of filter covers (Still to be polished). Annoyingly I will have to replace all of my vacuum tubing for the wipers and washers. The quality of rubber these days is crap.

Very nice work Craig - the heater hose solution is really nice - might pinch that idea if that's OK - what did you use at the pump end?
Could the pipe fit in between the top rad hose and rocker cover?
Assume you use 3/4 pipe?
cheers
