Great build, had a read from start to current- a lot going on in that garage!
Has anyone installed a 7 inch booster/master unit on a car keeping the hydraulic clutch master? Can it be done? Also, does the booster have to go into the firewall, or can it be mounted on a support off the firewall without having to cut the big hole into the pedal box?

I have fitted a booster and kept the hydraulic clutch master in the rattler , but the bonnet hinge had to be changed

The booster can come out as far as you want, provided the pushrod is extended. I've seen photos of them extended deep into the bay, past the bonnet hinges. Looks ungainly, but works.
A remote booster tucked up under the guard is another option (the Protex JB1217 master is a bolt up fit, will give you dual circuit boosted brakes, and readily retains the clutch master).
Cheers,
Harv

Thanks Harv. Engineer is not accepting remote booster option unfortunately, otherwise I'd have it sorted

That's one fussy engineer. Remote boosters were as common as bums (and even a factory option) up until HK.

How about putting just the clutch master cylinder under the dash?....Using something like this?..

I also intend on running a manual box, when the time comes I'm going to make my own version of an under dash hydraulic clutch system.
Toprodz in Melbourne make a unit that can mount the brake master cylinder under the dash and still accommodate the clutch mechanism.

Yes fancy units those. There is hardly enough room under dash to run demister duct even with standard stuff. It will be quite a job getting that unit under there. Like the lateral thinking around options though. Thanks for raising it.
