Hi Trev,
The first pic of a bath is deox-c (rust remover but will also help take paint off too) and the second is electrolysis.

I've been having a lot of trouble with the air compresssor lately so I did some investigating...
I needed another flux capacitor...
bloke at the compressor shop was amazed it was actually still running

I thought I would have a go at rebacking an interior door trim. I bought my backing boards years ago but you can get them from Stinky off the forum.
The vinyl doesnt look too bad but has had water damage at the bottom.
backing board was cactus
whilst the trim was on the original board I used sunlight soap and chux magic erasers to clean the vinyl as best I could. I also remove the stainless mouldings and polished with autosol
then I very carefully and slowly removed the vinyl from the board...don't rip or tear it...they can be brittle
so far so good...that was the easy part.

I also bought some 3M spray adhesive and some headliner as it was the closest I could get to 3mm thickness. I cut the headliner out slightly smaller than the backing board and glued it on.
Then I cut the holes out for the window winder and door opener. I also removed as much of the original fluff and any old dried glue from the vinyl.
Glueing the vinyl back was tricky. The end result...not too bad for a hack. Not 100% perfect but good enough. Next time I need to use more adhesive as you can see.
One original interior door trim.
Thanks also to Stinky for the tips/tricks on how to do this.
