Awesome stuff Drew - always inspiring to see how other people are getting it done. The more photos the better!
I looked at repairing the left and right side of the front tie member then decided it was too much work and bought the repair sections. You've made the fabrication on those look easy!

Well I had a few beers and a night off last night.
Y frames finally out of the shed!

The final coat in GMH black certainly made it look the goods.
But geez that Nitro paint is bloody toxic, glad I had a good mask

Don't forget to treat the inside especially since you had it in the tank to strip it down.

Great work Drew.

So I am at the point of prepping the firewall to refit y frames and I need to be thinking ahead to an accelerator cable set up for the twin carbies.

The twin carbies have a Center throttle shaft which I have read that is unreliable as it can become loose and the carbies go out of sync.

My FIRESTREAK manifold does not have external lugs for an external common throttle shaft so I am planning on planning on how to get it made to suit my needs

It’s a shame to modify this manifold but it is all I have got to work with.

Any suggestions on how to attack this job will be appreciated

Hi Drew, I haven't done this job yet myself, but have a set of twins to go on next car so have an interest. Would it be possible to use to the outside carburettor mounting bolts with a bracket that fits against the manifold? Also, I'm thinking there is no reason not to thread a hole or two into the manifold to use as bracket fasteners.
I will watch with interest😀
