What body are you talking about? Georges wagon in the front garden?
If so yes she looks alright in the photos but the floor is basically non existent.
Was on its belly for 30 years.

Welded in a new lower rear quarter section.
Haven’t done a job like this before and I’m pretty happy how it turned out.
Is it perfect? No, but neither is the rest of the car!

Cleaned the old junk tar off the roof for the future job of separating some body deadner in there

I spent some time on y frames to fix them up to standard, started on the battery tray area.

A funky little repair that was easier than expected.
Cut a good bit out of the wreck and just welded it in.
File sander worked well to do all the radius’ to match the others.

Getting the frames to a point where I was ready to fit to the car to finish welding the front tie member all square to the car

Got it on the car and welded it all true.

And this is where I am up to as of today….

I looking the finish the y frames in GMH black and get it out of my shed so I can get cracking on sealing the underbody.

The y frames will live under my carport until I’m ready to fit them.
In that time I’ll flood all the internals with cavity wax so hopefully it’s all set and cured when I fit the frame up.

Pretty freaky to look back on what has been 6 months of pretty solid work.
