I’m not surprised, although one must ask themselves where the missing piece is ?
Do you have enough bore material to go oversize ?

Bore is not too horrible so just chuck a set of rings on this piston and send it
…… or maybe it’s time for a new one
This block is cactus anyway, has cracks between the head bolt holes and the water jacket - is +.040” so won’t clean up at 60 so in the bin it goes.
Will reuse head, oil pump and some bolt ons but that’s about it

Big ends are .030” so crank may be a bin job as well …. Will have a look inside the oil pump tomorrow and see if it can go around again
