I think it is the angle of the light Mick, it came up ok when the pics were taken from the other side. The surface rust has gone right to the metal in a lot of places. The car must have been in a shed as stated, but must have been near the ocean

The finish is very similar to how the Fernando Yellow was before I had it painted and that was near the sea.

yor prolly right about the sea air and the bleed through seems to be basically on the up facing surfaces where moisture could sit and do it's work
if i'm correct with my guessing that ute will nearly have travelled back and fourth between sydney and junee more times than mark

i reckon acrylic would look more original 4 sure
and yeah if you have a good painter you may just get away
with doing the top half

Steve,
I know you love original cars but this needs to be painted. I love straight panels and new paint and quite frankly never understood the TAXI effect of painting bits, Do the lot I say

Apart from the rust creep this is one good looking FB.
