I have seen this a few times in Canberra.
Welcome to the FB EK family Mr. Jackson. I take it this is your first one (lol).
Only if it was a Auto EK Standard ute hey Steve, as per our conversation today.
Jason
Hi Jason, I was told about this ute in Canberra, for about six month I didn't pursue it. Then I was persuaded buy a club member that I needed it
Glad you had seen it floating around before it found its third home.
Mmm, dreaming about that standard Ute

I know there has been a lot of talk about how much and who paid what and what people think are fair prices.
I have kept my mouth shut and kept my opinions to myself
But as for this ute, well I think strata blue is the best colour in the old holden range and all the others are crap!
PS Nice ute Steve, how much did you pay? Kidding, I don't give a hoot.
Great blue ute

Hi Steve
The Ute is a beaut! When did you get onto that one?
In your position as Prez do you get many inquiries from people wanting to find a new home for Grandad's prided and joy? I would imagine you would hear of some nice cars.
As I said in another thread - posting a history of your better cars would make some interesting browsing (and it does) so keep em coming. That goes for others out there to you know - Steve and the Jackson clan surely don't own them all ???
PS - I am still patiently waiting for you to find me a nice ute or van, lol - Jimmy sure likes the Special sedan!
Thanks
Dave Mac

Thanks DM, I purchased the Ute around Feb.
The call from people with cars for sale to the Club President, are bought to the meetings.
I don't ever recall buying a car through the club. Oh, maybe the old Goddess Gold. That was in the Club newsletter for some time back in the late eighties.
Will try to photograph some more of the paperwork I have on our cars.
Thanks for your interest.

Thanks Steve!
Sorry about the mix up with the purchase dates. I was going by the posting details on the forum.
As for the cars avilable info being taken to the meetings that all sounds fair but I doubt many non owners would be heading off to meetings when they don't have an FB or EK so we rely on other means to hear about cars so can eventually participate.
Unfortunately that means we often only get the left overs but doesn't preclude the chance of hitting gold. The grey EK 225 we got isn't too bad for example.
Same applies to all one make / model clubs I suppose.
Maybe Jimmy might join and take his dad, lol.
Keep posting the history and pics - it's like a living museum.
