i'm not taking sides or anything, but RB have you seen blue jacketts ek? it is a 57 clone, right down to the chev badge (well it was when i saw it), so its a lost cause, one person who doesn't like the clone look talking to someone that does, neither are going to give and it's all down to what each individual likes.
if you don't like clones, don't buy/ build one.
if you do, go for it (just remember you will have people dissagree with your choices).

there's no sides to take some like the look others don't and some don't care to me if you want a '57 chev buy one
i'm not telling anybody what to do or not to do just saying what I don't like, my only issue with blue jacket was the comments that by doing an engine swap yor trying to make the car into something else which to me is silly yor not changing the outward apperance of the car with an engine swap yor just improving the performance

Well, You know what pisses me off, is when the joe average says, the the FB/EK is the poor mans 57 Chev, Where in the hell does the similarity exist.
Surely it can't be that it just has fins, back in the day there were at least 10 manufactures that had finned cars.
And definitely fitting a 350 Chev engine or a 6 cylinder chevy motor, does not make this a clone or any part of.
To me they are nothing alike.
Here is example 1....57 Chev
Example 2........ here EK
Example 3....Pontiac
I can certainly see which one has the more influence....................
So if anyone here can shed me some of that luminous light down here on the South Coast
