The yanks have no excuse to build bad cars as they have all the goods. Its us Aussies that have all the talent & inguinity/inginuity/engineooity (just pick one.)

Nick

I wish I was as smart and switched on as you are at your age.
And I would not have wasted the last 30 odd years learning what I have so far.

You seem to believe what ever you see and read on the net

On my first trip to the US, it took two days and one car show to change my attitude on the Us and Them when it came to who built a better all round car. Reading magazines and looking at features of what they built was vastly different to what I saw first hand. Even some of the cars featured were not what I expected.

But there are some stunning cars built over there, by shops and home builders, and there are a lot of very average and down right scarry ones as well.

And a little thing you may not know is that in some of the better shops in the States, some of the guys out the back doing the hands on work are Australian Kiwis Poms and Swedes

I once read in a Penthouse mag about a guy whos wife bought home 2 of her friends and they werent there to clean the pool

Just because I read it doesnt make me an expert on the subject and just because it was printed doesent make it a true story

Spot on DR, parts car is what we have done with it.

Someone may want the rest of the body rather than scrap. It has a good roof & quarters.

sorry to come into this so late but are the ebay pics even of the same car? or at least taken in the same century? did oyu change the rear seat or was it different to the pics when you picked it up? i'd tell him to stick it right up and to the left

Hi Luke, the first pics are from the ebay listing. The larger pics are taken a few months after & the red trim was just sitting in the car for safe keeping.
