one theory i have heard of with balance of tailshafts is to get 3 hose clamps, and put them on the tailshaft at 3 evenly spaced spots e.g 2 oclock, 6 and 10 ... tighten then so they stay but you can rotate it by hand ..... then go for a drive down the road and see if the vibration goes away, if it does you'll probably find the hose clamps have moved to the point where they balance it ...
