It's looking great so far Lynchpin!
Can you post the paint number from the ID tag on the Firewall?
Where did this one come from? I thought it might have been the one I posted in Cars for sale a while back, though, second look I don't think so.

Steve,
The paint isn't an exact colour. The car was originally a light blue which was used as starting point and we went a little darker. I didn't have a paint clolur specified as such.
I got the car from SouthcoastKustoms who got the car from Harko.

Hi Paul, thanks for info. Does the wagon still have the original ID plate on the Firwall? Love to know what the original code is? The 585 _ _ _ _ Number. Also 219 production number.
Thanks Paul.

Hi Steve,
Paint is 256 - 9695. Trim is 671 811 and the body is 219- 421 A. Does that sound right or should the number be something or somewhere else

Hi Paul, you have found it.
It is an early car!
256 .... Duco finish (Rather then Dulon that most FB's have)
9695 ... Lucerne Blue
219 .... Body is Standard Wagon ...
421 .... Build Number Number
A ....... Adelaide.
Mmm, very nice!

G'day Paul,
Yep, it's the 421st car to roll off the Adelaide production line.
Interesting, because I have an FB Standard Sedan here that I got from near Tamworth NSW and it is also in Lucerne Blue, has a low build number and was built in Adelaide as well.
Number 267 A ( 267th one to run off the Adelaide production line)
That colour you have painted yours in seems pretty close, if not the same, as Lucerne Blue.

Terry,
When i bought the car i loved the colour and the way it looked. I was going to change the colour completely to put my own mark on the car as a lot of people do when they are doing up a car.
I the end, i asked the guys to go a few shades darker so it looked the same almost but was different slightly.
Will be interesting to put it next to a Lucerene Blue car to compare the two colours.

MM,
The front seats are just VH commodores, minus the head rests. They would recline as far back as they can before they hit the rear seat.

The seats and carpet are finally fitted. The roof lining going in next week, but i have to pull the seats out for my guy to fit the lining. At least i can re fit the seats. Once the lining is in i will get the windows fitted.
