I believe it is a requirement to be married to or at the very least dating a blood relation to live in Sofala

nice place though , from there we went to some obscure old racetrack about 45 minutes away .....

You’re having the time of your lives, good on you. Kudos to the van towing fb drivers. Either side of Cobar is good for longish stints of WOT specially if you’re heading away from the big C though I remember the beer being nice and cold there.
I wonder if Mario’s Palace Hotel is still going up at the Hill.
You’ve got a nice drive ahead through the southrn flinders. No shortage of points of interest, not to mention the odd antique store.... Shhhh....

That was day one done - distance travelled 805km.
next day we left Broken Hill and headed to Peterborough for a look at a motorcycle museum
