Great pic’s Ric. It reminds me of our FB in the sixties and living in an asbestos house. Unfortunately we don’t have pictures though. Thanks for the memories.

Thanks mate.
It’s always good to remember the olden days, some say good ole days,
others don’t seem to remember them as being very good at all, but as a kid, I loved em.

It’s good to reminisce,
and there is no better way to bring the past into the future for a new generation to enjoy than old cars.

Ric.

Gents,

I am back up and running, thanks to Clay, much appreciated mate.

You guys are correct, that is not my car, however I did go and inspect it very closely in Victoria.

Anyone would be happy to own this lovely FB, and the young owner is a real gentleman.
Very nice original car, with a few things replaced over the years, but all in all a very sound car and would be a great buy for anyone looking to buy a lovely FB Special.

However, yes I did sell my FB and a couple of other cars, as I had to finance a granny flay for my mother in law.
Yes yes, I know, I should have sold her, and not my cars "angryy:

However I do now own a lovely FC Special, which was a one owner car, and is a real time capsule. :grinnn:
Completely original since day one.
The chap & his wife that owned this car, never bought another car their whole life.
Bought it in Maitland in 1959, and drove it every day until they could not drive any more.
I cant say, I have ever heard that before, where one couple since married only ever owned one car

The only things changed out are:
Radiator cap
Radiator re core
Spark plug leads
Clutch & Brake master cylinders
4 wheel cylinders & shoes
Clutch slave cylinder
Battery

It still has the original earth strap on it.

This is the type of one owner car & colour combo I have bee looking for my whole life (almost)

Colour combo is:
Main colour:
Pinecrest Green
Roof & insert:
Duchess Green
Interior:
Venetian Turquoise & black

The roof & bonnet I actually thought was cream, but it is a very light & lovely shade of green.
