By Feb 2014 I need to source and have modified a VN 28 Spline Borg Warner V8 LSD diff. Any ideas who is the best at diff modifier in Perth?

Will be running full Commodore disc brakes and wheel pattern..... Malaga Rust Repairs will fitting a VN collapsible steering column for me. Probably talk to an engineer so I can make sure I'll be on track with the modifications to run a 3.3 Black.

Dropped into the shop today and not much has changed. That is a good thing as I need to start getting the front and rear end sorted.

I just brought these HR/HK/HT/HG 2" drop stubs. Made by Stubtech. Part ‪#‎ST001‬.

I do have a question about them. These are designed to take HQ - WB disc brakes. Can I somehow get them to take Commodore stud axles and disc brakes?
O, I brought them privately, so the guy didn't know.

Why do you want to fit Commode brakes ? Why not run HQ/WB style ?

A wide range of brake combo's is the main reason. Plus I want Commodore stud patter all round for wide range of wheels as well.

You are going late model style with the build ? You cant get early style wheels in Commodore stud pattern, centreline, Weld , etc.

Yeah with my build I've had to use commodore disc brakes, and went commodore stud pattern, the wheel choice is very limited unless you like show wheels on your car

I changed the Commodore stud pattern on my V6 EK to HQ by offset drilling the axles and rotors in a mill and fitting oversize wheel studs, piece of cake

Thanks for that guys. I will use HQ disc and stud.

With the Volvo 240 diff the guy said early Holden rims will fit it. So dose that HQ rims will fit?

I'm hoping so, as I have put off getting it converted ATM because I was think a VN - VS diff would have been a better way to go.

Just one suggestion - whilst they're still welding stuff in....
Have you considered widening and making a deeper spare wheel well?..

I wished I'd done mine - there is no way the 14 x 7 Dragways and 205 tyres are going to fit mine...
There's heaps of room to widen it - the big flat section can be eaten into for width.
I haven't thought about depth yet... but am on the lookout for a larger well which can be migged in.
