If it's any use, I've got a grey motor harmonic balancer removerer and a grey motor harmonic balancer whacker-onerer that you are welcome to borrow. Not essential for the job, but handy. Let me know if you want them and I'll throw them into the post. Don't have a timing cover seal straighten-uperer through... damn things go for over $200 on eBay :( .

Cheers,
Harv (deputy apprentice timing gear fiddler).
Just got off the phone with Tony & it sounds like he has the timing gear stuff figured out, Harv. The harmonic balance is the later version so I've got the puller covered (so has Tony) , so thanks anyway mate.
But with all the 'specialist equipment' you have you should be (head honcho timing gear fiddler!). :D

Dear readers of this thread....
I have to put one small thing straight here...I work in retail, so therefore that means I DON'T GET TIME OFF DURING CHRISTMAS AT ALL (only Christmas Day) so alot of work on this car won't be carried out during the Christmas/New Years season. Time off is a no no between December & Febuary.
But fear not...it will be done just alot slower during this time..as work is hectic as you may imagine. :wtf:

Scotty.

it's the time of year you don't want to be working on a car anyway, all though you have it a bit cooler on the coast, i have a hot rod sposed to be coming for paint and i'm dreading it especially when the bloke has had all year to do it

well while I was doing the clothes washing I was able to get the bulk of the old front stone tray unbolted & cut off...
If I have time this arvo I'll get to & make some cardboard templates so I can see what I need to cut in steel & rod.
Before the 'experts' tell me 'you don't need to do it that way', my answer is .."it's the only way I can do it...so sue me!"

..as you can see by doing this I take away a whole lot of steel that's shaped to the old bumper. Quite a lot of weight in it too!

Oh yeah..this is for Tony...radiator & bits have been removed as ordered.

Scotty..slowly gettin' there....

Sorry Jase..but that's a negative. It's been done on Simon Telford's and i just love the shape of the original.
