I really do like this colour scheme, but finding out the name of the red on this might be hard. Maybe stick with original still unsure.
Tough decision :)

Without sounding like a smarty i'd put money on that color being "red hot" the wifes VY 03 commodore wagon is exactly the same. Good clean red, not too much ochre tint, after its been polished ya need sunnies to look at it!

Well after a few weeks to think about it I'm close to pulling the pin on the wagon. Probably wreck it out.
My issues with it are the roof. I knew it had some work done around the drip rails but after having a good look it's pretty bad. It's been bronzed up before and it aint good. Front part of drip rails are rusted away all together and back part is the nasty bit. Looks like someone has tried a transplant of half a drip rail before and did a shit job. It has such a good floor too :(

I have access to a donor wagon so I'll check that out first but I think I'll be chasing something else to do.
Cars eh... :(

Bad news John, but you being a panel beater would know how much work is too much.
Hope you find another project soon.

Spray painter actually :)
I'm having a walk away moment. Just been through the build threads here again and after seeing Rusty's and Stu's threads I'm thinking mine isn't impossible.
Perhaps I need some away time from the old girl and then go back and revisit it all.

You being a spray painter you have to know someone to help, even if it is just what to do. Most of us on here are just winging it

thing is you can see what you have to do now on this one no guarantees the next one will be any better, solid floors and what looks to be a fairly good body otherwise is something you may also not find again any time soon
said it before and i'll say it again i don't care how good they look sitting there all shiney (or even not shiney covered in paint will do :) ) it's not till you start pulling them down to there sox and undies that you start to see what really is there
