dont worry guys, the pics were taken before i had had a chance to inspect the job. all the primer was removed as was paint in the back.

i had feared worse for the rust situation but things turned out ok...

its currently getting the following:

inner sills
outter sills
floor cross braces
rear sub frames

..ok, so while the ute is still at the panel shop i thought i would buy some functional candy for the interior...

ok so im putting the front end together and am after some torque settings for the hr front end, i need to know the following:
upper control arms and pivot bolts
lower control arms
ball joints

ipg is that power coated of sprayed .. looks better that new ..

the fornt end has been sand blasted and powdercoated.

im not going to powdercoat too much more as the cost is pretty inhibitive on my wage and this ute isnt going to be a trailer queen.

if anyone has a hr workshop manual with the front end torque settings i would really appreciate it...

ok what did they sting u for coating the fronted .. ipg ?

Upper wishbone pivot shaft bolts ( HR series ) - 50 ft/lb


Ball joints - 70 ft/lb


You weren't specific on the lower control arms so I'll give you the lot and you can work out which one you need.


Upper and Lower wishbone pivot shafts in crossmember Min - 50ft/lb
Max- 250 ft/lb

Upper and Lower pivot shaft bushes - 60 ft/lb
