Thanks for all the input everyone!
Seerms the stickers are stayin..
Thanks for the tip on the hood lining stinky, i'll be giving it a go. Is it you that sells the hood linings? I'm currently bidding on one on ebay.. If the original cleans up, i'll sit on it anyway.
Cool pic 'mick jagger', i better get miself a cap.
Thanks for posting that pic stygian, that made y mind up for certain to keep the stickers.
VMX MXR, the floor mats are perrrfect... a bit grubby but will clean up no worries.
The sticker on the bonnet says: Danger, no smoking, stop engine while refuelling. Its on the piss and think was slapped on, might leave that one off.
Paul, Just one more, just this one... i mean cmon, we all need a ute - right?
I'm still playing with my Ek sedan, and an Eh panel van, after them and in between i'll be wkn on the ute. I never documented must that i did on the sedan, but i'll be sure to keep ya's updated on the ute!
Stay tuned and stay kool,
Ken

Hi chappyvs!
I'll be keeping the vehicle totally stock, as for the engine I'm gonna try leave it as is, it fired straight up on 6 cyl and although breathing heavy from a leaking manifold ran fine.
The fuel line between the pump and carb blocked up and we couldn't play with for long but enough to know it runs for sure.
So I'll be playing the card of if it ain't broke don't fix it!!
Not sure if I'll get far on it this yr but stay tuned mate.

The bloke who owns the old servo at Pickering Brook is in the process of restoring it - you should get the ute up there for a photo.

Don't want to steal your thread Ken but here's a question for Blacky re the old garage.
Can you find out if he has a B & W of the old place, or do you know what the big portal on the left was for as it seems pretty pointless taken in the context of the current photo ??? Just wondering what was 'inside' or whether there was another structure behind it that was demolished. I've seen some old country garages like that with a gantry for truck work so that's why an old picture might reveal all.
Some old style photos of your ute would be pretty cool - you could even play dress ups, lol !
Ken, now you have decided to keep the stickers how are you going to approach the old ute?

Hi Ken, what a great ute! I love it. I haven't been on the forum for a while and missed your posts.
I haven't seen "Valetta Green" on a ute before and it is now a rare colour to find. (Only the fours on our ID tag research sheet.)
Jason FX-FJ and Big Pete have a standard sedan & FB Mad has a 225 special sedan.
Hope you leave it just the way it is. Looks fantastic. Plus the History! I love History!!!
Thank you,
Steve

I agree, they are both a lighter variation on Pittwater green that came in for the EJ's and Late EK commercials.
