Got all the loose bits and the sikaflex off, but the wire wheeling and etch will have to wait until more favourable conditions. Currently 70% humidity so there is no point today.

Good thinking, Patrick - sometimes, you just have to sit on your hands.... for as frustrating as it is... better job done, when the time/conditions are right.
The sun will come out, and you will be tempted - trust your better judgement.

Floor will get some KBS Rust Seal after I’ve done the boot seal channel.
Seeing as the boot was off I thought it was a good time to fit the new boot lock mech

Is there any way of running a Bowden cable arrangement to the latch mech so that you can remotely trip the latch?
It's no biggie with our models - you can remove the key and leave the engine running... but..... now's probably the time if you want to take the lead for the forum with this....

By the way, that lower channel looks amazing!
I might suggest we do something about putting the leads in a conduit.... something to consider.

Locking mech works off a solenoid with a button in the glovebox or off the central locking fob


This one must have reversed into the carport at night
Will tidy up the wiring when adding the new wire for the solenoid

Shaved boot. The letters were previously removed and holes filled. It is a 225 after all...

Clever adaption.... like to see it all together - might steal your application for my own purposes.
My alarm fob has a suitable button.
Just need to run an additional lead in the loom (if I didn't include a spare when I put it together).

Well I dug a bit more and eventually found a couple of holes. Not too bad considering what others have found

So I got out the mig and found a suitably sized brass bung to fill against

Couple of zaps and it’s done, just need to grind them flat



A plus of these new phones is the bright torch on them which helps spotting holes in the weld
