If you are in the South of the US, moonshine usually comes out at the end of the party, in a little glass jar with a lid on it. It's illegally distilled whiskey. When I lived there, I found some of the most straightlaced people I knew had contacts who could get it. Very potent stuff, bit not very pleasant to imbibe.

Try and get your hands on the Robert Mitcham movie Thunder Road. Nascar's roots is said to have sprung from the early moonshine runners getting together and racing. Hence the reference to the good ol' boys. Or so it goes, I could be wrong..wouldn't be the first time

hi there
as norman bible on blowers says the twin belt system needs maintance and can slip and burn the belts
he says that the teeth belts are better but costly set up (eg gilmerbelt )
i wanted the gilmer for the maintance low and the noise and you carnt buy gilmers set up for the greys

hi there
good news on the norman front
its running thank god for that

all the hard work in manifold making and the su problems ,linkages, the biggest problem is the belt sizes avlaible in aust
for the gilmer set up
tuned it today but the car will need to go on a dyno
we filed the needles in carbs to make it richer
the noise from the norman is great with the noise from the gilmer set up
i am very happy that the car runs and revs
i will try and take some photos on the next good day
i would like to take it to cora lyn maybe

Congrats Grantley
That had to be a huge moment for you to hear it run.
You'll have to get some pics of its first outing for us
