Kind thought thanks John. I do have at least one spare so don’t worry. It will be sorted. Meanwhile started making a new battery tray.

ImageThe old one was straight but after a dip on acid it was evidently full of holes.

Looks like you got the wiring through the column ok, Clay, and nice work with the tray Mine’s been roughly patched up in the past, so I’ll be making one up at some point.

Battery tray paint cured on the combustion heater overnight ImageI got carried away under the dashImagePlenum vent door was stiff and the foam seal disintegrated. Soak in citric, rattle can, replace foam, lubricate moving parts including cable and refit.

Decided to go all hot rod and chuck an EK wiper motor in. Save switching the fuel pump. Original motor out of my EK sedan which I painted when I put the blue and trimatic in in 96 then refused to work. I just retested it and it goes so in it goes. Image Just need to find a secondary crank.

I’m not sure about the actuator arms. I recall using the original vacuum ones when I did this conversion in Elle’s FC but that was in about 91 so memory is dim.

Stripped the dash for a blast with degreaser and a wipe with thinners try and get off some of the grunge. ImageFound the trans under half an inch of that familiar colour of dirt from the farm, soaked in oil and dried hard. Image
Citric has rendered the vent door ready to paint. Image

nice one Clay, are you having any issues with posting pics from Tapatalk ? I have been trying to put Nats pics up and I cant get them to post ? When I attach the pic it only has a back button on it not a post icon so the bloody thing wont attach
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

I encountered this also, but I worked out that the “Done” button on the lower right hand side of the screen is now grey on a slightly darker grey background... you can hardly see it. But it’s still there. Weird huh.

Joe is right. Bottom right corner. Only an issue when posting from device rather than camera.

Clay,

Just back from a long weekend's worth of tooling around in the Riverina and central western NSW . . .

Brakes. Hmm. The "axial score line" in your slave cylinder exactly matches my definition of "crack". And what's with the 0.995" diameter? You'd surely be wanting 1.063".

Rob
From the manual fronts are 1.1875. This one is a rear at 1” per the manual et al. Went back to brake shop today as advised Friday morning. He hadn’t done anything. Offered me a resleeved one which needed s polish and had had the bleed screw thread repaired with an insert which I declined. He fished out a refurbishable one which he will resleeve for me to pick up on Thursday. We will see.
