I have to recommend not screwing the false floor down so you can get in and dry things out. I was in two minds about this as the other alternative had me making the floor totally waterproof.

Doing some alignment work for right hand rail replacement. These pieces from old rusty FB ute and the panels and spare wheel bottom cross piece coming from the FC.
Looks better alreadyImageImage

Good stuff mate, are you going to go back to standard and fab up all the missing parts or fit a roll pan and do away with the spare wheel door ???
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Completely stock Blacky. Might be a few extra braces in the mix, but otherwise will look like it used to. That's the goal anyway...

Love what your doing here Brett I'm glad that my Frankenstein wasn't quite as bad as Project 2 and that you are willing to take the time and effort to save another one.

What's left of 'Old Rusty', the Finlay basket case, and what's grown from Wilma and Project 2. ImageImageImage

A bit of progress: Spring hangers in place with a bit of bracing (still to finalise). Allows me to go back on rotisserie now.
While there is easy access with no rear end, I'm taking advantage to get the fuel tank metal work sorted with a combination of cuts and new pieces where cuts are rusty. Will probably do the wood floor hangers while I'm here.
Next to do is the rear section. Fixing rust on this while it's off and easy. I'm hoping to replace this in one piece, but will work it as it needs to go.
For PatrickImage:I reorganised the shed so that Wilma can stay happy and dry and I can keep going when it rains (which seems to be every day lately). She is becoming covered in dust though..ImageImageImageImageImageImage
