Hi all,
Another weekend, another job done. Only problem is the weekends
work was something that I didn't have on my list of things to do.
Decided to do something with the boot as far as lining goes. Maybe
have over done it again but am happy with the result.
To start with the boot as it is

First the seat backing

Then start on the floor

Then to do something with the sides

Also added in a opening to allow access to the fuel system

Throw in a battery box

Then a cover for the spare wheel

And it just about ready for covering with carpet.

Very nice woodwork Malcolm.
I'd suggest carpet on the floor and trimming the sides in whatever you are using on the seats and trims though.

Turnin into a chippy as well, Mal. SHAME on you.
At least could of made that out of metal.
Let me guess" Upholsterer next qualification, would not suprise me at all, plenty of skill in this build, no doubt about that......
Super work Mal, Hope she's finished by the nats.
Regards John

Thanks for the comments guys.
As a matter of fact John,

my first job out of school was an apprentice wood machinist in a upholstery business. Did that for 10 years, thats where I picked up a few timber skills and yes I also did about 2 years in the upholstery area also. Nothing really phases me, I'll give anything a go

and keep doing it until I get it right.
I intend to move heaven and earth to have it finished for the NATS, and have also put in for holidays already also.
Cheers

MAL,
Its surprising how big a EK boot really is!
I remember packing fishing gear, clothes, tent, beer and heading south to Ulladulla (John's haunt) for many years and still had room for ther odd hitch hiker.
The elimination of the spare certainly has its advantages!
Your work is great and inspiring. I just look with envy and slap myself cause I haven't been able to keep up.
Im goining to the shed after I finish typing, Ive just lost a bit of motivation at the moment, thank god for you!
Regards Greg

Hey Dave,
I took a pattern of the window to the local glazier and they sent it away to the big smoke and had them made to automotive specs. Cost me $110.00 per window.
