I'll see if the leftover pipe I used on my front indicators will fit..if so you should be able to get it from most steel suppliers.
But be warned ..it weighs a ton and costs more than you think!

Scotty.

No photo's just trying to get things done however.. .going to go throught the parts box tonight and try and make a list of things still to purchase...

welded up the un-required holes (i hope) in one rear door, and going to try and do the other 3 tonight and the boot, then hopefully they should be ready to give to a panel paint man (when the time comes) all the hinges are off thinking of getting them plated and then re-pinning them when the time comes...

hopefully getting working on the front guards and get them up to scratch as well as the body mods still to happen... slowly slowy.... then strip down again!

wheres the best place to get some POR in Perth, might do the floors up soon like Brodie (unless he wants to come do mine :D )

Cheers
Nathan

Good to hear you are doing some work on it. POR on the floors/inside the boot on the lower quarters/inside doors etc is a good idea - I had it sprayed in my FB when Tony did the rust. It seems to be holding up nicely, although one small bubble has popped up in the LHR door where it wasn't repaired

I am keen to see what you do with the frenched indicators. I am yet to do my little custom mod that I promised to with the spare indicator housings you gave me, but on my recent trip to Mooneyes Yokohama I picked up some little indicators which will complement my driving lights nicely - I shall show you some time.

In the mean time, we need to get cracking on our tail lights. I have a set ready to go for you (or someone else) to test out with the new leds installed.

Andrew

yeah man we will get cracking on some lights man... i'm sorta booked for the next 3 weekends i think but after that we will pump some out...

im about a 1/3 or the way through wire wheeling the front and rear windows frames and the door frames... which have revealled some 'bog'dge repaires so will need to do some repairs there... and cut out the area for the fuel neck

wheres the best place to get some POR in perth boys (i havent looked yet... not ready yet)

the frenched indicators arent coming out as planned... however i do have a new plan, i know blacky mentioned it, and there was also a guide put on ozrodders ages ago about shrinking them down but keeping the chrome bezel so im thinking of doing that into standard FB Housings (when i get a new set since i gave the last pair away    though i dont mind as long as he does whats planned!) and painting those rather than chroming... and then the cam shaft bar might have to wait a while and i 'll just use the chrome bars to get licensed... got to cut out a few mods (which can be done later) if im going to meet a wedding deadline....

so anyone got a set of FB indicator housings lying around.... chrome doesnt matter as they will get stripped!

Cheers
Nathan

update coming soon, fuel area cut in, bit of panel work to be done (insert old man) and working on the rear panel.... also picked up a Red Motor ac bracket, just got to get a real small ac compressor now and make it work thinking a sanden 7176 model only 112mm in diameter overall, think i can get that in nicely... also reworded the radiator supprt bar, and cut down and remodel caddy tailights for the indicators but cracked one so need to order more... insert new mooneyes order :)

also got a vintage air mini system from the states and a few goodies, i'll loose a glove box and have to create a panel much like EKKOOL's to go under the dash to house everything but thats the price of cool cruising...

will probably have my bee hive heater up for sale soon (completely new, 2 year or so warranty from Aussie Desert cooler still left, with demister vents) and also the ali glovebox.

will try and get photos Sunday (not here this weekend so will see what happens)

cheers

Hey Mate,

I have an AC setup off a black motor here - bought it intending to fit to my FB but it won't fit red head. If you want to test fit the compressor you are welcome to it.

Thanks for that nomad, I think I'll get the cable one it seems to be the easiest to fit. Do you know if there are any issues (vicroads) with how long the shifter is on yours?

no idea with vic roads mate, i don;t think there could be too much of an issue but wouldn't hurt to check with them or an engineer or somehting... plenty of people have used them, make sure it clears the bench seat though (if using one)
