I picked up a front bar off of Briby at the nationals, not sure of the brand it is silver and without measuring it I would guess it would be no smaller than 22mm. I have a funny feeling I have already spoken to Todd as I bought a mounting kit for the swaybar on the back of the rattler and they weren't doing them anymore ? I will call them and see what the go is. We have a wedding to attend in Moss Vale in October - Bathurst race day off all days to get married ........

I know its nothing like it used to be but I still watch it all every year.....
Maybe I can come for a drive and pick it up ?

Fraud XP also fits very well if you require a bit of room around a larger pumkin diff.

That is what I have on the back of my banjo on the ute. XP to XC I believe, and possibly later wagons and Utes which retained the leaf spring rear axle.

Thanks for the comments guys.
Fitted up the new tie rod ends that went smoothly. Then off to get a wheel alignment. Found an old school mechanic who was great. He works on the old school stuff and is around the same vintage as you folk on here
He has a Servex unit, which you don’t see many of. He adjusted up the drag link, reset the toe in and camber. Handles a lot better now. The garage has been around since just after WW2.
Regards
Stephen

It was about time to get some new treads on the Ute so pulled the wheels off and gave the rims a hit with degreaser and pressure cleaner, then off to get 185/80 x 13” tyres fitted up (Nankang). Whilst the wheels were off prepped the rims and painted them with gloss black paint.
Put them in the sun to bake the paint and bolted them on. I normally run chrome dress rings but with the whitewalls it looks a bit too much bling so this is how it looks for now. Did a speedo check (with a gps app) and it is reading spot on.

With the 14” jelly bean mags, I got jack of having to pump two wheels up as they would lose air after a week. I assumed the rims were porous as others have suggested but thought I’d get a soap mix on all the wheels and see what was going on. Found the problem…….. No wonder they were going flat
Took the wheels to my local tyre place who have been brilliant and they fixed the issue. The faults were not their doing it was the clown (shark) I bought the wheels from. All fixed with the wheels holding air after 5+ weeks……..yah!
