and now you don't need to fabricate that pesky clamp

Good point about getting it out. The timber floor will be removable, which is probably the only way. This also enables running a fatter tyre as I have left the rear bearer out.

Carry a small compressor - let the air out of the spare when taking it out then re-inflate.

If you make the floor a lift up from the spare wheel stop rail back you can take it out that way easy enough and give you better access and storage in and around the spare for jack and tools etc.

I want my floor in one piece so it looks original but will be liftable. Just need to remove everything from the tray, which isn't always ideal on a trip.

Fitting up gaskets to mount guards. I reused the rubber on the edge of the plenum cover and adjacent door. Used a piece from Clark Rubber to make a replacement gasket for the inner guard and glued in place with contact.ImageImage

Badge came also from Rob. I'm pretty happy with this. It looks great. I will cut and polish the tailgate a bit more before I put it on.Image

Looking good. I didn't even know there was rubber on the corners/ends of the plenum for the guard to sit on. Thought it was just mastic. Something else learned today😀

Me either until I started dismantling this car. The guards had never been off. The stone tray will get mastic but all the contact points for the guards have gasket apart from the body braces and rear bottoms, which I’ll try and get some mastic into. That re,Indus me I didn’t use it on the door hinges. If I think of it I will probably try and unbolt one hinge at a time and squirt some in there.

They were all the same, some better than others !!!

Don't stress Clay, very hard to notice when looking down at it. Its coming along nicely ! Your endurance will be tested when you decide to cut and buff it !
