Ouch. :( That's why we didn't see you on Sunday. Looks mean as hell without the bonnet on, though. Your van looks cool too. :)

Cheers AM and EB !

Dave thats the main reason I had a smile on my face about 30mins after it happened. The bonnet didnt release, the wiper cowl, screen, stainless surround, roof and boot were saved. The car stayed straight and thankgod for the viewing hole in the bonnet !! Most importantly no one else or other car was put at risk. I consider myself VERY lucky

On it also DR !!! When the car first started driving there was about 15mm clearance from the pulley to the bonnet. Once the car started driving this slowly lessened to the point were the belt was rubbing the paint underneath. I guess the car was just bedding in, annoying however as I had my hopes on the engine plate keeping the front end solid. Ive contacted the guy in america I get my blower parts thru and we are trying to get a custom pulley set worked out. This will reduce the pulley sizes on both upper and lower maintaining the same psi and underdrive ratio. This will hopefully give me the room I need as the engine cant go any lower in the bay (engine to xmember clearance) and the engine cant be moved back any further without recessing the firewall (has roughly an inch clearance as it is due to the blower pulley widths). Its sounding promising with what they are able to do, specially compared to what is available in Australia.

BB the bonnet catch is a frankenstien of landcrusier and bmw parts grafted into the roof of the bonnet. I dont have any shots of underneath at the moment. All the underneath of the bonnet has been remade/re-strengthened due to the hole. The guys at Thirlmere - Ricky's Spray Painting did all this work and was their customization. Im really happy with how clean it all looks. Just need to chrome the dick however

Cheers Mick for the hinge offer mate, Im watching the chrome and cad set on ebay currently. If they go for a stupid price I will definetly hit you up  Thanks mate .

Sorry BB no photos yet mate, my apologies I havent forgotten.

Scored a set of hinges off Ebay !

Waiting on a set of custom pulleys from America. Changing the pulleys to get more clearance, switching to 46T/43T with an 8mm pitch. 8mm pitch use a standard 2inch pilot index, which had to be re-fabricated to suit 2.25.

This should give a 3/4inch extra clearance - overall difference 6inch diameter to 4.7inch diameter with the new pulleys, plus a nice teeth look

Some progress ..... Might get to drive it to a club event one day !
