I really truly think all you guys are Terrific! (So are these strawberries and cream that Fi has just brought me out for dessert!) Even you Tim, with your "NASCOITIS" or "WIBROCS CONSUMPTION" or something. Anything that would make you fit fender spears on your spats (Or anywhere else, just quietly!) requires immediate medical attention and possibly amputation at the source.

Don't worry.
I go fuzzy and warm looking at stockers with all those accessories. Parcel Shelves, (long and short) Taxi Rails, Coolaride Cushions, speckly mats, Ducks Foot exhaust thingys, and any number of mirrors and visors, not to mention the Myriad of side flashes available back then. I just reckon these model holdens are really great, even the hotties and the Rat Rods.
They just seem cosy and familiar. I can recall riding my pushbike around the bush tracks in Springwood NSW in the early 1970s, and seeing stolen EK Holdens like you would see stolen Commodores nowdays (except not burnt out!) I got all the switches out except the headlight switch, which ended up bent at a right angle! If we have some sun tomorrow, I may put my station wagon thingies on my rear bar. I just put my new master cyl. and booster in my Frank Tairlane and I got a pedal right away without having to bleed it much.
So it's full steam ahead tomorrow!

Hey Tim
I may come hunting for that wagon rear centre bumper section tomorrow, or even just a measurement for the holes. My Tank has a missfire (A F ORD ailment!) so I'll pull the plugs out and clean them tomorrow (Penny Pincher!) and I may come over later in the arvo. I'll ring first. I may come over with a drill to fit those triple fender spoons.

It was good to see you and Freya for a little visit this arvo. As you can see, mowing my lawn plays second fiddle to mucking around with the rear bumper on my FB. It will be bumper again tomorrow. Blow the lawn! I may do it later on, but the forecast says rain.

I just got the lawn mowed as well (After bumper job) It was funny because the long grass was getting stuck between the bumper sections as I was bolting them together. Is that Rough and Wierd? Tim, that badge is yours, it's intact, but the chrome is a little grey. I was surprised how clear that photo was from my 1965 Nokia "Little Wizard" Mobile Phone.
The sockets in those number plate lights were pretty dodgy, so I used 59 &*#@ dash indicator sockets that I had. These are pretty much the same except they are rubber instead of plastic, so they don't need those little retainer ring thingies to hold them into the light bodies as I misplaced one of these, only to be found by Fi in the grass after the job was finished, just before I would have mowed over it. Talking of your pink car. At least you didn,t find a stack of rego stickers that hadn't even been stuck on the car. Some people I know have cars with wheels that are square on the bottom, and a pile of stickers to the roof, but your old pink standard is a fairly familiar sight on our roads. I was told once by an old fellow in Sunnybank shops, that Gough Whitlam lived down the road from him in the late sixties, and he drove an EK Special (before he was P.M. I guess!) N.S.W. rego. EGW777
and not a modern car by this time. How cool! I don't know whether this is fact, but It paints a happy picture in my head, whatever my political leanings may be!

Back is a little lower than the front because of heavy trolley jack collection in the boot. I am happy with the whole job though, and a thousand thankyous again to SunnyTim for all of his help this morning and supplying a lower outer bush as one of mine was way too worn to put back in. I know it could go way lower, but i'm really happy with it the way it is, and it seems to go round corners like a lancia Stratos. Hey MeFB. Theres things missing on my car, because I took them off (And gave most of them away!) but I promise I won't touch your nice FB. And Scotty. I'm impressed with your new mobile phone skills.
