That random star headdlining looks beautiful. I like the way the trimmer stitched the piece that runs along the rear window onto the two B-pillar bits. The Rares headlinings are a loose bit of fabric (not stitched), and too short to stitch on.

Cheers,

I'm very happy with his work Harv. It is a faithful reproduction of the original lining I gave him, minus the spotlight hole. Minor difference on the visors. The original lining appeared yo have a very slight blue tinge compared side by side to the new stuff. Now it is in the car it looks the same, slight blue tinge. A trick of the light.

Looking awesome Clay - the other area that still shits me is the bit right behind the top corner of the seat - they didn't do enough material onto the back edge of the body so you can see the metal - have to take it back to see if he can add a piece under the trim to blend in.
Shame he couldn't do the visors right - if you have any material left my guy could do them for you if it's a bug bear.
I did my trims in body colour - they blend in perfectly as the door metal is right near it so matches well.
Happy days :yeahhh: :yeahhh:

Looking good mate !

It annoys me as well, no fabric of random stars available when I bought so have to settle on the square star pattern !!!!!

Oh well I'll try not to look at the roof anymore !!!!!

Cheers Greg. It's one of those things where if it wasn't pointed out you wouldn't even know but once it is it bugs me. You will be too blessed to notice with that sweet V8 and custom work.

Those visors look factory perfect Rob and thanks for the offer. I'm quite happy with the way mine are so I'll stick with them. Thanks for the side trim photo. I'm still in two minds as I wanted a contrast.

I was going to go red to match seat trim or black to match dash - anything else would look out of place I think

Front screen went in with only a couple of minor dramas. Very happy with fit. Bottom trim had to be popped back in during install on the passenger side but sitting good now. Had a false start and had to re-fit cord due to this. This was a known issue from pre-assembly. The problem with leaving it out in the weather with tape holding it together is that I now have the job of removing the cooked on glue and paper.

Rear screen seal fitted ready to go.Image

Bottom corners look like they need to come down a couple mm to flush with the opening. Maybe a bit more rubber mallet but I’m hoping corner trims will pull them in and down.

The Rares rubbers have been rectified earlier this year. Give Dave Ryan a yell over on the humpy forum - he will most likely help out with the refund, as he has for quite a few people. He has retired in recent weeks, but is still keeping up with it.

Mine went in and out a couple of times to mate and the trim took so fiddling but looking good clay you are getting closer every time I read your posts.
We might both be rego'd at the same time

Thanks Tim. I was aware of the issue and sourced mine from Better Auto Rubber. Formerly Peter Jacksons Old Auto Rubber Co?
