How hard is it to fit ? If its easy it would be a good swap as there are about a million old Frod utes in wrecking yards

It's not too bad, this one was used so we could marry up the Commodore filler in the rear quarter, don't know how well it would go with the filler at the back though.
Other then that because of the size of the tank I can only run a single exhaust, should give me good range though.

could you possably run the exhaust over the diff then outside the springs so the tailpipes come out directly under the tail lights (that's if you want dual exhaust) old tip  from memory i think it was XC fowlcan tailpipes (which go over diff and outside spring) fit

I did the same with my XD. All the experts were telling me you couldn't run dual exhaust on XD's (as in a pipe on each side) because of the tank. It was a tight fit, but I ran the pipe on the outside of the leaf springs.

I think the XC ones were more centred, Mick.

Yeah,

Not the best photos but this is how I've done my tailpipes

You car is looking grand Scoobb.

I have a XB Fowlcon sedan tank so there is no room along side it. Over the top of the springs is the only way to go.

Thanks for the pics Greg it looks good and gives me something to think about, I see you have removed the spare wheel well to fit the fuel tank, the XB tank has the spare wheel on top if I'm not mistaken.

I have enough room under mine to run a nice 2.5 inch single exhaust between the re-fabricated spare wheel well and the fuel tank.

Should be enough for a standard injected 5.0l and may even sound like the old Brock Commodores I used to love the sound of when growing up. :D

I'm going up tomorrow to have a look at the car and will check out underneath and see which way I go with it and hopefully get some progress pics.

Looks like the column is too long?
Can it be pushed through the fire wall a bit more?
