rear station wagon glass.
I have laid the new metal template over the original glass. Even though the wraparound part of the glass is at a different angle due to the chop. it lays on the old glass at an angle. There seems to be enough glass to be cut. I am thinking of trying a water cut place to see if it can be done. Xmas got in the way, will try in the new year.

Hello All, can someone te3ll me where we can get the H O L D E N badges for the bonnet? Rare spares sell some things but not all. I have some that I can re-use, guess everyone has the same problem.

Thanks for the eBay tip. They have the same problem as mine with missing pins. I need to figure out how to return the missing pins

I have had success with the tailgate script, drilling and araldyting steel rod. Carefully obviously, with drill press, to slight interference fit.

Hello all. It has been a long time between reports, we are ready for the visit to the engineer early next year. We have a pre inspection list to work through, we think it's OK but depends on the engineer how we progress from here. Chrysler 360 runs sweetly and the torqueflite gearbox has been overhauled. We had a bit of fun with badges, bringing a bit of Chrysler bling. The chassis is so stiff, that when we jacked up the front corner we cracked the windscreen. Needs replacing, the upside is that it is still a standard windscreen. 8)

Thanks for the update. I love the approach you’ve taken to this thing. Not having to get a custom front screen particularly, not to mention the mopar theme.

strange the windscreen cracking, in my experience i would think there is flex to cause that (i've had numerous converted convertibles and a chopped sedan) i could jack one corner and get 3 wheels off the ground

I agree with Mick, its usually flex that causes cracking windscreens.

I like the job you guys have done it is certainly different.

I just noticed the cracked windscreen after I jacked the car up on the drivers side front, normally I go up in the K frame centre. I mentioned to a friend who does high end windscreens and he told me that Ferrari will crack a windscreen the same way. We have a very stiff car with ladder chassis, so I put it down to that, any how lesson learnt, don't do that again, meanwhile get another windscreen. We had a quote for Windscreens O'Brien for $500 which I think is reasonable for a wraparound windscreen. anyone have a good idea?

$500 supplied and installed sounds like a good deal - they can be a bugger of a thing to get right and with the way you have chopped this car it will probably be more difficult then a stocker ……

I had O’Brians quote similar for install-only in the wagon. They came out, took one look at it and scarpered. Would not touch it despite quoting.
