Trev been looking into blow through and it would give me clearance
prob is that the vent for the fuel bowls on the carbys are inside so it would push air into the bowl and would presurise and may not allow fuel to flow
and still looking at options there
the norman needs lubrication so a oil/lube drip feed set up of some kind would have to be sorted out if it wasnt running fuel through it

thommo as 4 injection its already on the cards setting up a throttle body and running the injector rail ,vk commy computer and electrinic ignition

well didnt get to spend as much time down the shed today as i wanted
had a bit more of a play needs a little more trimmed off the top of the plate but should do the trick

Would it be possible to take the inlet manifold off and mount the carbs on a alloy plate straight onto the inlet port of the Norman? This may gain you some space.

Cut a little opening in the bonnet, perhaps a little pinstripe detail around it, and stick them up there in the sunshine...

Although it could prove hazardous driving, cause I would just be staring at those bad boys instead of watching the road ahead....

Dave's using a red motor Norman (Type 70 I believe ?)...the Type 65 blowers for the grey motor were mounted on the left and used a single 2 inch SU. Apparently the way to tell the difference between red motor and grey motor Normans is that the red motor ones have cooling fins which run from one end of the blower to the other (like Dave's). The grey motor ones had fins which were parallel to the ends of the blower.

If you are going to run injection, will the lubrication oil for the Norman affect the injectors?

i would think the injectors should be ok with a bit of lube if i decide to go that way
couldnt see it doing any harm to them

4 the moment im going to set it up with the carbys try and get it sorted
while the new engines being built
maybe look in2 the injection a bit more down the track see how i go

the ek's pretty much ready to paint now just waiting on a few warm days
not likley this time of year

good to see thats it back on track

ive made another manifold so it will sit under the bonnet think im up 2 number 3 now
its never ending but it should do the trick carbs are sitting down lower now as much as i liked the carbs sitting up high
dont think i would get away with it 4 2 long
i wanted to keep the norman up the other way so i could see the fins it looks a lot cooler that way
so turning it around will show the welded water cooling side and water in/outlets
not a lot of room to tune the carbys but ill work that out when it comes to that part
also plugs are going to be a biatch to change but its all under the hood now

This is going to sound like a real dumb question , but if the blower and carbies are sitting on the right hand side, but the inlet manifold is on the left,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

More room on that side, no alternator, exhaust, battery box.
