Re: Chev EK
Hi Greg, great work with the extractors they are looking good.
My mate is looking to fabricate a set for his EK and has asked me to ask you a couple of questions.......if ok.
Can you tell us what size pipe you used? Did you buy in a kit form and if so how much?
Thanks,
Ray.

Re: Chev EK
Hi Ray,
The extractor kit comes from Castle headers in Vic about $380.00 from memory.
There is a shortage of people who will make custom extractors for a reasonable price at the moment, it is not an easy job!!!! It has taken me about 3 fulll days but im almost finished, will have some more pics soon.
The pipes are 1 5/8 into 3 inch and because im a nut case will end up very close to being equal length per cylinder.
This is not required if your not chasing horespower but I can't help it

Hope this helps
Regards Greg

Hi Greg, thanks for the info. Exactly what we were after.
Good luck with the rest of the build and looking forward to seeing more pics.
Cheers,
Ray.

Ahhh Aristos.
Nice to see your back onto the sedan. Been a long time coming, Looks like Gazza's Torana front subframe mod is a good idea for the early conversion, you've made one fit quite easily
Nice work!
Also Glad you decided to fabricate your own Extractors through to rear rather than through the guard option.
You need to keep going now, whilst your still motivated.
Regards John

Re: Chev EK
mate lookin good i know how much time goes into them very simalar to my atempt

HEY IT WASNT ME
Re: Chev EK
one thing to watch for when fitting the torana front end is when fitted with HQ stubs is you need about an 1/4inch extra clearance for the top wishbone as you have to shim it more as the HQ stubs adds positive camber due to different inclination angle.

Re: Chev EK
Fellow car lovers,
I thought I would just touch base and give an update on the EK. I've had the engineer give it the once over last week and all is good at this stage.
I have only managed a tailshaft and a few bits in the last couple if months but work will once again speed up as I have some time again.
Photos of the tailshaft, yes its special.
