Strut (verb): to walk around with ones head held high, as ones bonnet hinges are pretty damn cool

Only kidding.

A lot smarter than me, I couldn't work out how to use an EK honeypot, so had to use a HT one.

FBIDEK did all the thinking not me Image

Only got an afternoon in today , mounted the battery box up - is out of a VE Commodonor, also painted the boot area and fuel tank ready to all go in - It is FAR easier to install this with no quarter panel on the car ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

no pics, while the diff was out I cut the strip between the rail and the inner out, belted it across and welded it back together again, pretty easy job did them in a night.

no - not double skinned, once the cut is made the inner guard will push across to the rail , only gives you another half an inch or so

No complaints on gaining half an inch.
I'm intrigued would love to see this done close up or pics.

Blacky,
A lot of people seem to cut and shut the whole tub inner wall across, which is quite a bit more work. Seems to me your method be just as effective. As you say the gain is not great, although I've noticed that any rubbing tends to occur above the lip with body roll. Increasing clearance slightly beyond the rail could have some extra benefit.
