That is why looking for overspray on rubbers doesn't alway mean a car has had paint. After assembly I would say quite a few had touch ups, and the rubbers weren't always masked.

Great pics steve

Re: Archive Picture Thread
Hey Steve.
I'm glad you like them.
Came across them whilst doing a systematic search through the archive. Lucky to find them as they were not tagged as GMH or Holden.
I really dig production line pics, seeing stuff like the panel stands etc. How about the purpose built stand to hold the seat frame by the mounts whilst the upholsterer fits the cover.
Here's another 1 you might like:

Thanks again for those pics Alex, the best I have seen!
This one is just as good! Look at the old wireless on the back ledge .... winters weathers tyres on the back. The guy is the pic looks like a young Sunny Mick.

Re: Archive Picture Thread
This is the best thread. Thanks guys.
I bought this pic at a market. The greedy seller demanded $4 for it and i thought it was such a great period pic, I couldn't resist!
I reckin the flash color is lt. green as the common red color shows up dark in black & white pics
What do you guys think?

Jeez, the old State Rivers & Water Supply building in Melbourne (was it Armadale?). Went for a job interview there 30 years ago & parked in the same spot as the FB sedan. Got the job too.

Latest model Chevrolet Bel Air on display at South Coast Motors Co Pty Ltd, Scarborough Street, Southport, Queensland, 1961

This image was found on the Vic Electricity Commission website, so possibly an Electricity van.

Re: Archive Picture Thread
My old mate Pete, ( RIP - 10 years gone next month laddy - still miss you mate!) took this pic in 1965
He was the photograher for 'swiftcraft' boats.
A big haul for an FB wagon . The photo survived a house fire in his place in 1972.
Cheers
