Your so right Mick, had a look at about a dozen fixtures and they are different. Good spotting! These fixtures allow the seat to move much further back.

Just got a very exciting call today on the Golden Holden !!!

A retired Police Office now 76 remembered the car vividly ....

The first thing Peter asked me did the car have Power Steering? Yes I replied.

Does it have incredible Candy stripe Trim ... Yes it does!

Peter also distinctly remembers the EK had "Twin Carbie" as the MD wanted a little more power!!!

"The Golden Holden came to his detail shop in 1970. It was still like new, with very few miles on the clock. His company P & V Car Cleaners was commissioned to clean the car by Neil Neilson Motor of Ferntree Gully Vic.

Neil had just traded in the car from Harlow Gage's PA (personal Secretary) GMH She had owned the car since Harlow had returned to the US.

Peter is looking through his paper work for a receipt of the work, also the name of the Secretary and possibly a few pics that a staff member had taken of the car at the time !!!

Very Excited !!!

Stay tuned !!!!!!!!

Hi Mick, come out any time you like and check it out with me. After you found the seat bracket was different, who knows what else you may find?

I will take some close up pics of the manifold tomorrow when I am out there.

In the mean time, that may explain the pipe cut to the carb.

The guy was not having me on, we talked for half an hour or more about many things. He's memory is sharp and a good bloke to chat with.

Steve

BTW, I am currently awaiting the results of an engine search on the Jan 58 engine number.

Here is a sticker that is barely visible on the back of the Golden Holden.

Any body have any idea of what it may have been?

Thanks,

Steve
