Good stuff Scotty. Theres a sticky right there on rebuilding a fuel sender. Any chance of copying that info into a thread under the 'Engine' Forum section?

Great how to Scotty, must have been the weekend for playing with senders! I had a few pinholes under mine and a strong fuel smell. So a few minutes with some Kneedit and job done. Although I stupidly drove all over the place trying to buy some cork to remake the gasket. No one sells it anymore :x . Ended up using a strip of leftover cork from a sump gasket to make a 2 piece one. No more leaks or fuel smell!.

Devilrod, they do still make them. I bought a gasket from Spectrum Rubber in Sydney... Costs about 5 bucks.

Still havent put in yet

Yeah thats all good but, Rare Spares in Bayswater is 30- 40 minutes one way from here and Scotts Auto rubbers is 30 mins one way too. Not really worth the drive for a $5 dollar part. It was one of those things woke up and decided enough was enough time to fix it!

Plus its more fun this way

Well I've finally done the thing my car's needed since I've owned it...'A COOLARIDE' sun visor!! 8) 8)
It's the shiniest part on the whole car (plus I now have a good look at what the final colour of Pearl Seaforth Green looks like :D 8) ) and the slight shade difference is.

I always like visors on FB EK's ..they just seem to look right with the 'flow' of the shapes.

Scotty.

PS, take no notice of the primer bits (rear 1/4) just doing bit's of welding at a time..then I run out of mig wire :x !! .

Y'er not wrong there Mick!! I'd suggest do it with TWO people, it's a real bugger of a job installing one by your lonesome! :x
It took ages (especially since mine was the one off my old wagon..I thought the roof line would have been the same on the sedan..but NOOOO..seems the wagon's roof curves more that the sedan, which means out with the leather hammer and two blocks'o'wood and straighten out the roof supports! :x  :( . Real fun, especially as I had already painted 'em!!
Also forgot to thank "Sunny Tim" for the original stainless corner bits in the last entry...Thanks Timbo..MAAATE! :D :D 8)
