I'm afraid my authentic 1960s street directory doesn't have those 2 roads intersecting, and google maps places it on the north side of the motorway. If I turn left off the motorway and head toward the drive in, is that the right direction?

Reservoir Rd. exit off the M4, left or right depending on where you coming from (right if travelling east) then follow that for a km or 2 till you see the pub on the corner with the drive in behind it.

If they'd closed down the drive in if it rained when I was a kid - there would have been a lot of very pent up teens/young adults looking for a safe "parking" spot - without access to hot food and drinks........
Some of us preferred not to use anti-fog on the windows......... and kept them up for that very reason....... tinted windows were something which came with foreign cars...... or Chrysler Royals etc......
How many others got a "free" broken rear side window when making a hasty departure when the attendant came around to wake you up in the early hours of the morning - well after the movies had finished..........
Think it'll run - or should if they want "accurate" ambience......
frats,
Rosco

Hi Lolly , hope you found it Ok , i got my directions from Blacktown Council. Unfortunate that they dont seem to have it 100% straight when the place is in their own patch !
Hope the Drive In was fun !

It was the most packed I have seen at a drive in for a long time.
I think FB/EK would have out numbered most other models for sure.
Went for a cruise down to Harry's afterwards but it was dead. Probably most down at Canberra for the SummerNats.

Not the easiest place to find.........even my sat-nav got it wrong
Think I counted about 11 FB's/EK's, most of which I've seen here.
