Some time has gone by since i had posted anything.
heres some recent minor changes

instruments painted

glovebox insert made.

recently purchased new set of dash knob surrounds with hthe intention of painting them to suit the instruments but was just too excited not to install them when they arrived.
here is the comparison between old and new....the only difference i can spot is the lettering is slightly narrower on the reproductions, oh and they look a lot better without the cracks

What condition are you old light and choke surrounds in? They are the only two dodgey cracked ones on my car and I don't want to fork out for a whole new set :)

Looks good Marty 8)

Just a question though, did you intentionally swap sides with the fuel gauge & idiot lights???

swapped it about 10 years ago during last rebuild. Cant remember why though, i think it was to do with back seat/passanger side drivers watching the fuel guage over my shoulder. :x :x i wanted to swap it back recently when i painted the guages but it was just too complicated to try to unravel all the wiring so thats where they stayed, i think it may be against ADRs though  as all cars including new have it on the left of the speedo.

Dash looks very nice Marty 8)
Don't think it matters what side the fuel gauge is on, but rx2 and new Challenger are both on the right of speedo making the FB the odd one out.
So maybe yours does now comply with ADR and the rest of ours don't :D

this probably doesn't work for all cars, but someone once said that whichever side of the speedo the fuel guage is on is the side of the car where the fuel filler is located. seems to be right for alot of the cars i've actually bothered to notice on. Best thing about that theory is that it doesn't matter where it is on an EK because they're in teh middle anyway

It shouldn't matter where it is, i was just curious to know how it got there :)
