Congrats on the ute Stubby dont stress mate ive seen worse. In terms of the V8 cant really hlp you ive stuck with the trusty old grey but in terms of building your ute ask away mate if i can help in any way b all means just ask.
I found this site to be a great source of info when bulding the ute especially when your missing parts or have parts that your not sure where they go... so if you need any pictures or have any questions ask away!!

tcheers king . yeah the ute will be changed in the paint department thats for sure. if you could show some pics on your rust repairing coz i dare say mine will have some hidden under that paint work and also if theres some pics on front end conversions .thanks kingaz

Hahahaha I read the tailgate at first as

" Yoo Fart Attack "

Doing my second V8 into an Ek, Everything Nomad listed is spot on.

Brakes - I would recommend Hq-Wb caliper/rotor with Vh40 Booster and HQ/LX master cyclinder. Also gives you a good wheel selection.

Dont muck around , just get a 9inch diff shortened.

Gearbox - Easiest to fit an automatic, I like the turbo 350s best.

Steering column, LH/LX worked very well for me in the Sedan.

Just yell if you need more info.

gday blacky the ute looks good body wise but when i start strpping her down i dare say ill find some problems. do you know any engineers in perth that pass modified cars blacky?

gday mephious your car looks great the sort of idea i would like to do. have you any pics on the chassis if you done any mods in that area and with your front end did you use any of the ek componits or did you change the whole lot?

Where abouts in Perth are you Stubby ? I use a bloke called Dan Pitic, Chopped put me onto him , he did Chopped's ute . He is in the northern suburbs.

blacky im in esperance but hopefully will be moving to mandurah in october so will be much better being closer to perth. also blacky do you know where to buy crate motors in perth or do you have to buy overseas. cheers
