well as usual most things look good in photos ! .

Paintwork is not bad , a little thin and it hasn't been done too carefully in terms of overspray etc. so we are tossing up at the moment as to keeping the original colours , or doing something else.

Either way budget dictates the green will be around for a while yet. ! My preference is not to get too far away from normal in terms of mods.

There's some rust work to be in some places , which of course are the ones you can't see straight up untill you get all the floor coverings etc out !!

So again it depends on time and budget but its overall pretty straight and has had a full set of floor pans already.

Anyone with a no nonsense panel beater / painter in Sydney would be handy ?

In terms of power the grey was well and truly clagged so i got a very good deal on a 202 / aussie 4 speed combo thats only done low k's and thats going in at this stage to see how we like it.

The warmaride heater is the one great advancement over my EK as far as the wife is concerned anway ! )

Always appears better in photos than in real life. I like the current colour combo on it.

Would love to see more photo's of the camper seat. Up and down. I'm amazed at how some people manage to pick up these things from the photo's, I had to look twice. Mines in poor condition and I'm looking to see what the side and back trims looked like on them.

H Finny , i'll see what i have in the way of of pics of the seat. otherwise will take some more when i go to see how the engine swap is going on saturday.

come on stewart, a 202... bit lame, i reckon a sweet 327 should make the old girl rock n roll. lol.

I reckon once the v8 is in, get some nice hustlers.

I hope the engine change is going well, was there much clearance left with the 202? what raditior have you used?

Hi Retro , when the motor is actually in the car i guess i'll know what the clearance is like. as you say only keeping it warm for a 327 ! (when the lotto ball lands at my place. ).

that lotto ball better come over to my house soon, current lack of work has lead to a current lack of pay. im willing to share it with you stewart.

are you going to change the sump ? i've seen the type you have used but not sure what's involved, usually an EH sump is used
what size motor is it and what box are you useing ?

Engine is a 202 with aussie 4 speed box.

Was wondering what collapsible steering column you are planning to use as in NSW you need a collapsible column for a 202 and upwards.

I'll be needing a collapsible column for my V8 project and not sure myself on what's the easiest to fit to FB/EK.

Interested to know to help make my choice easier when it comes to that time.

it still has the king pin front so the sump in the pics is not the one yor useing ? cause it's not an EH sump

I cut the top bit off an EK column and the bottom bit off a VB/K Donordore column, it went together pretty easily.
Sorry didnt take pics,I took it to work one saturday morning to have a play with it and had the thing back together and painted in a morning

Wonder whether a cut and shut job would be enough to satisfy an engineer bearing in mind how fussy they can be sometimes.

That would be the way I'd prefer to do it Blacky if it would get the nod of approval from an engineer.

Retain that original look still but have the safety features of a collapsible column.
