Bit too far for me to come - haven't managed to get to mine off the blocks to make the last two of the Vic ones................

Matty, don't be mis-lead - all FB/EK's have a place - I find those with the "lived in" look particularly attractive - Terry's did it for me this year - any of us can make them shine and replace parts - those which have "lived" are magic........ I like to look at their "incidents" this is the true history of their lives.......

And to those who don't enter because they feel ashamed - Don't EVER feel ashamed of your vehicle - we had an AHD a number of years back - there was a very "lived in" FJ van (almost no paint left, chrome peeling and fitted with very bright red shiny wheels - even some on the tyres...) equipped with a note-book, pen and sign requesting comments............... if only one vehicle was remembered from that show, it was this one - I loved it..........
...... and some of the comments................. priceless........
Vehicles such as these are remembered long after the shiniest ones are back in the garage and under wraps...........until the next show.....

If you want to see the best, shiniest and most fitted out - new car dealers can provide that any day of the year.........our shows encompass everything - especially those who bring theirs and put it on show regardless of what others may think............ their loss..

I remember one of our members stating, to him - his was the best car of all................ regardless of what others thought - great sentiment....

For me - I love to take in what others do with their vehicles - and also to look at those which are shown as life records......................

Yes, I applaud those who project build, and those who want to display "as new".......

An AHD is "the" opportunity to take in other Holden models as well -
there will always be those who believe theirs is the "only" model Holden.......all others are of a lesser importance - guess that does a lot for the fraternity.............

We know they all want an FB or EK, don't we................ but you will never hear me run down another model....................

again, their loss - we need to tell them to pull the blinkers off and enjoy the feast........

If they're only going to look at one aspect - they're wasting a brilliant opportunity to absorb the Holden universe.........

frats,
Rosco

Hi Bex, the car has to roll into the venue under its own steam. It can't be trucked into the venue & has to be road registered.

Hope this info helps.
